Have You Seen Our Monthly Projects?

Klockit does something that is outrageous and unheard of in this day and age. Every month, they give away a free plan or craft project via the Klockit website, and there is no limit to the number of posted plans and/or projects that you can download for free. Best yet, the clock motors, hardware, and other parts to complete these plans and projects are relatively in-expensive. This is good thing for the pocket book, considering the current state of the economy today as well as the price of a gallon of gas.

So where are the strings attached? That’s the funny thing… There are none. All I had to do was register with the website. All the standard information applied… Name, E-mail, Physical Address. Nothing too complicated, despite that I consider myself “internet in-capable”. At any rate, I was signed up in a matter of minutes and ready to download to my heart’s content.

This month features the Homestead Wall Clock plan, which will show woodworkers like me how to construct a nice little kitchen wall clock. One of the neatest aspects of the clock is the small drawer, which is perfect for storing recipe cards. When my wife saw the assembly, she knew she had to have one.

After showing her this particular plan, she decided to explore the other projects and plans available. Turns out, they have projects and plans dating clear back to June of 2009! Needless to say, there are a few other assemblies I must add to my construction list, while the wife has added a couple of new craft projects to her own list.

I will readily admit that not every project or plan is enticing to me, or the missus, but that does not stop me from checking back every month to see what the next project will be. I have a feeling that the missus will be checking the site once a month as well. I’m certain it is only a matter of time before she hands me my next project as I’m walking through the door… I give it a month or so.
