What comes to mind when you think of Valentine’s Day? One of the first things that comes to my mind is this quote:
“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
– C. Schulz
Mr. Schulz was a smart man! Of course your valentine will enjoy some chocolate on that special day. But they might also enjoy a handmade gift; one that will last longer than a decadent chocolate assortment. Here are our top three picks for Valentine’s Day 2013:
Idea #1: Heart-Shaped Blossom Box Kit
The Heart-Shaped Blossom Box Kit is a wonderfully unique jewelry box; the drawers swing open like flower petals to reveal your Valentine’s treasures inside. The wood in this kit is made entirely from Red Oak, generally stained with a clear, satin sheen finish. We recommend lining the drawers with Suede-Tex Flocking System.
Building this kit is the easy part – the entire project can be completed in a weekend. It starts to get tough when you have to decide which piece of jewelry you’re going to hide in one of the compartments for your Valentine to find!
Idea #2: Prairie Wine Rack Plan
Alternatively, your Valentine may prefer a bottle of wine (or two) to jewelry. Our Prairie Wine Rack Plan is a new addition to the Klockit website this Spring. Once built, the wine rack features storage for up to 20 wine bottles, three tracks for hanging glasses, and additional storage under the hinged top.
Suede-Tex Flocking can also be used to finish the inside of this product. The suede-tex finishing provides a soft, high-quality finish without the hassle of cutting and pasting fabrics.
Why should you build this wine rack plan for your Valentine? Because building it is inexpensive, simple and not very time consuming. It’s also easy to modify the wine rack plan design to accommodate more or less bottles to your liking. Not to mention it’s been a hit on Pinterest with the ladies!
Idea #3: Atomix Ladies’ Atomic Watch
Last but not least, there’s the Ladies’ black band Atomix atomic watch. It’s one of our best-sellers, mostly because it’s a simple atomic watch! Not to mention it auto-sets and resets for Daylight Saving Time.
So how does it work, you ask? The watch recalls the available signal automatically at 3:00 a.m. every morning according to your time zone setting. After the signal is received, it will show the official local time on the watch. Talk about a time saver!
If jewelry is your Valentine’s favorite present, they won’t be disappointed by this attractive, fashionable watch.
