Once again, it is that time of year to remind our Klockit customers that fall and winter craft fair season is almost here!
Craft shows offer great opportunities to make extra income from the sale of handcrafted items such as clocks, small furniture items and functional/decorative home décor items.
From my personal experience of selling woodcrafts at these shows for many years, I would advise customers to offer items that target seasonal home decorating (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) but to also offer items that are suitable for year around display in the home.
Price points under $50.00 will encourage impulse purchases. That is not to say that more expensive items will not sell but volume sales will come from the lower priced items.
Remember to look through your local newspapers for a lot of the smaller craft shows and you can go online to find shows in your state and/neighboring states.
I hope to run into some of our Klockit customers at shows I will be at in S.E Wisconsin & N.E. Illinois. I always am so impressed by the creativity and quality workmanship of our Klockit customer’s products.

John spent the better part of the 28 years he was employed by Klockit, designing hundreds of clock and furniture kits and plans and has continued with product design since his retirement in 2008. John’s love of clocks, his passion for creating furniture for his own home as well as for family, and his great appreciation for the beautiful finished pieces Klockit customers make from our kits and plans inspire him to continue to create still more new clock and furniture designs.
